The Body

The body, designed with the assistance of Dallara Engineering and its founder Giampaolo Dallara, is modified by a complete aero kit. The modifications include a new spoiler up front, front fenders with aero vents, 10-position rear wing for enhanced downforce, central exhaust tailpipe, roll cage, large digital display cluster and a racing steering wheel. The suspension is a double wishbone setup with rigid bushings throughout.

The frame is a hybrid aluminum/carbon construction with optimized geometries to utilize an upgraded radiator in front and better accommodate the racing gearbox aft, a setup that produces better aerodynamics. Super Trofeo has a front/back weight distribution of 42 percent/58 percent.

Drivelines

The drivetrain is RWD (the standard of the GT classes), a 6-speed sequential gearbox with Marelli electrical activation and a triple-disc racing clutch and lightweight flywheel. The dimensions include a front track of 66.7 inches, rear track of 63.4 inches, a dry weight of 2,800 lbs. and weight to horsepower ratio of 4.52. Lamborghini engineers were able to save weight by emphasizing the use carbon fiber and aluminum. The fuel tank can hold 31.2 gallons. The Super Trofeo is the perfect vehicle to teach motorsports drivers how to handle the unique traction system.

The Super Trofeo features slick Pirelli rubber, 305/660-18 DH up front and 315/680-18 DH in the rear. The black front wheels are 11x18-inch ET 28.8 and the rear is 12x18-inch ET 32. To haul down all this goodness, Super Trofeo embraces a steel brake 12-position racing ABS from Brembo with front discs sized at 380x35 mm, rear discs at 355x32 mm, and racing calipers: a front: 6 pot monoblock and a rear 4 pot monoblock.
